Heritage Week Honours Parks Centennial

MEDIA RELEASE : HERITAGE WEEK FEBRUARY 21-27 2011  “A Century of Conservation:  Parks and Cultural Landscapes” has been chosen as the theme for Heritage Week 2011 in recognition of the centennial of both BC Parks and Parks Canada this year.  Heritage Week begins on National Heritage Day, the third Monday in February.Created in 1911, Canada’s Dominion Parks Service was the first such national organization in the world.
